This morning, on the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary, in the Chapel of the Cenacle Convent, seven Mothers confirmed their “Fiat” to Jesus, Word and Victim, after 25 years of Divine Nuptials. Their names are: M. Oswalda, M. Toribia, M. Karol, M. Ada, M. Flavia, M. Julia and M. Maura. In Argentina, two Mothers also did it. M. Miryam, Superior General, placed a silver crown on their heads, as a symbolic crown, which Christ places on them.

The Holy Mass was celebrated by His Excellency Bishop Reinaldo Nann, His Excellency Bishop Edinson Farfán Córdova, Bishop of the Diocese of Chuquibambilla, Reverend Father Frankz from Germany, and Reverend Father Never, Brother of M. Ada. Edinson, stressed that Mary is our model in discipleship, and thanked these sisters for their witness of imitation of the poor, chaste and obedient Christ. “This is what religious life is all about, imitating and having the same sentiments as Christ. It is the same Lord who sustains your vocation. It is the Lord himself with his grace. Religious life has to be the good smell of Christ,” he stressed. And he emphasised the virtue of trust as did Saint Therese of the Child Jesus, recalling also the message of Pope Francis, in his Apostolic Exhortation on trust on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Birth of the Saint of Lisieux.

At present M. Flavia and M. Maura are members of the General Council of the Congregation, M. Maura is also Superior of the Cenacolo Convent. M. Julia is Mistress of the Junior Sisters. M. Ada, is Superior of the Patmos of Codo del Pozuzo. M. Oswalda and M. Toribia work in mission centres in Peru, while M. Karol works in the Patmos of Toconao in Chile.
