On August 12, a vocational day was held in Herbay Alto. On the Pilar farm, which belongs to Mrs. Pilar Paucar Santillana and her mother. As the name itself expresses, a vocational day is a meeting where the young person is helped, in this case explicitly the young woman, to discern if she has a vocation to religious life.
Father Leoncio Cordova assisted spiritually by hearing confessions. The young women who gathered were a total of fifteen. They belong to the parish of Herbay Alto, where some of them have been doing missions. During the day there were three talks. The first was given by Father Leoncio, the second by M. Crescencia and the third by M. Ernestina. The young women showed great interest in learning about the congregation.
The Lord said, “Pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his field. Lk 10:1-12The congregation thanks the Paucar Santillana family for their generosity in providing their land for the journey, the food and other expenses they incurred, may the Lord, who is not to be outdone in generosity, repay them a hundredfold.
